August Newsletter:
V&A Images

Welcome to our August Newsletter. With this being the month of the world famous Edinburgh Festival, we thought we should highlight this celebration of arts and entertainment through our very own eclectic collection of Performing Arts imagery.

The Victoria and Albert Museum's Theatre Collection has one of the most comprehensive collections of theatre and performance material in the world; ranging from posters, costumes and puppets to a huge collection of performance photography from the likes of Anthony Crickmay, Houston Rogers and Harry Hammond.

Browse through our Performing Arts lightbox and discover the world of entertainment through well know plays such as Oscar Wilde's 'The Importance of Being Earnest' to 'Waiting for Godot' by Samuel Beckett. Judi Dench, The Beatles and Maria Callas are but a few of the mega stars featured!

Looking ahead to autumn our 'What's New' lightbox features a preview of Halloween with spooky and gruesome imagery to fuel the imagination.
